Product Description

Why use the 1" Amiad Super Filter with the 300 micron stainless steel screen

1" Amiad Super Filter with 50 mesh (300 micron) Stainless Steel Screen.

The 1" Amiad Super filter with the 50 mesh (300 micron) filter element, is the filter we generally
recommend for most residential and light commercial sprinkler systems. 300 micron
generally provides an appropriate level of filtration for most rotors and pop-up spray heads. The filter housing is made from polyaccetal, known for its durability and chemical resistance. The filter screen itself is made from stainless steel weave around a polyaccetal frame.

Amiad Super Filters are shorter in length, but have a wider circumference than other filters on the market. This is advantageous because it has more surface area. More surface area
means higher water flow and less water pressure loss as a result of the filter.

The 1" Amiad Super Filter's larger surface area also allows for longer time between filter cleaning. The Amiad Super Filter is compact which comes in handy when trying to fit it
into smaller areas. This also allows for greater accessibility when it is time to clean it.

Where does the Amiad sediment filter go in a sprinkler system?

The purpose of the filter is to protect the sprinkler system so, it should be installed after the water system hook-up and before the main line branches off to the sprinkler systems valves.

Is the 1" Amiad Super Filter right for you?

If you use a well with dirty water or if you use secondary water from water sourses such as
reservoirs, lakes, canals, and rivers, you have more potential for silt, sand to make it into your
sprinkler system. Any of these found in the your sprinkler system water will cause wear and
tear, clogging, and more frequent maintenance issues with your valves and sprinklers.

If your water has moss, algae or other biological matter consider using a disc filter .

When does a sprinkler system not need a sediment filter

Some areas utilize culinary water for their sprinkler systems. Culinary water is usually
clean enough for sprinkler systems, so you won't require a filter. However, drip systems
need additional protection and a drip system filter is necessary.
