Types of Drip Irrigation Emitters

  • Drip Emitters | Called point-source distribution, deliver the water close to the base of the plants, and subsequently close to their root systems.
  • Dripperline | Called line source distribution, is used in more densely planted areas where the emitters do not need to be aligned perfectly with the plants.
  • Microsprays | Deliver water in a similar form to regular spray sprinklers, only in a scaled-down version, spraying less water with a smaller radius.
  • Bubblers | Bubblers are emitters that generally have threaded inlets. They bubble or flood out water a short distance, and are perfect for shrubs, trees, and flower beds.
