Secondary Water Connection

It is important to make the secondary water line. Usually this is done by painting the end with red or purple paint. All water districts require an RPZ backflow prevention device installed on the culinary water supply line when using the cross connect set-up. It is recommended to fill the bottom of the valve box with gravel. Top of gravel should be between 1 1/2" to 2" below the valves and connection to allow for easier service.
